The UK Act of the MothEuroCup was an amazing event, hosted by Stokes Bay Sailing Club.

Day 1
Blazing sunshine and a 10 knot South Easterly greeted the 57 boat Moth Nationals fleet at Stokes Bay Sailing Club. A number of new innovations were on display including Dylan Fletcher’s solid wings, Mike Lennon’s boom fairings and James Phare’s double-wand.

Day 2
The day started with a calm, mirror-like Solent, but ended with 4 glorious races completed in perfect foiling conditions. This was Stokes Bay at its best and the Moth fleet turned on the style in spades.

Day 3
While the rest of the Solent was filled with yachts going around the Isle of Wight, the International Moth fleet were enjoying Stokes Bay at its very best. Four fantastic races were held in cracking conditions.

Day 4
The final day didn’t provide the glamorous conditions of the previous two days, but the Stokes Bay Race Team, led by Principal Race Officer Mike Rayden, managed to complete the full series in marginal foiling conditions.

With Chris Rashley clearly out in front, the battle for second place overall was hot – just six points separated 5 boats going into the final day.

Thank you very much for the great video coverage to Beau Outteridge!!
